Biography
Shaka Walker is an African American Film, Television, & Stage Actor born on October
4th, 1988 in Camden, NJ. Shaka has made appearances
red carpet screenings to promote his films. He is the
producer of Promise Me A Lie (2012) actor in Change (2012) &
A Bitter Pill (2012) which generated a lot of buzz on many online
websites that showcased articles on his work and in the African american
gay community websites. Shaka participated in NIKE (RED) "Lace Up, Save Lives" Commercial as a HIV, Stamper - Promoter/Motivator to help bring a global awareness
to end AIDS in Africa. His main focus is to work on films that support the LGBT/HIV Community.
Shaka Walker is apart of the much anticipated documentary
Out In The Open (2013) which is set to release at the end of January where he
discusses what it is was like growing up gay and the issues
that follow him and his friends. Shaka is set to have "A Bitter Pill" on a panel and screened at Los Angeles Black Gay Pride this year in July. He is the creator of Rainbow Youth Films Production Company that specializes in filming LGBT Themed Youth Films.
Shaka is on board to do an open live reading of (For Colored Boys Who Have Considered Suicide When The Rainbow Is Still Not Yet Enough) by Keith Boykin for West Hollywood Pride in June of 2013. In the month of March Shaka has done an Equality PSA & Photo-Shoot Print work to promote Black Equality & HIV/Aids Awareness in the African american community gay community. Shaka was noted as #41 on being every "Black LGBT Youth Should know" online article by Pride Youth Services. He is an openly gay
African american actor. Shaka Walker has been secretly engaged to a guy for a year at the age of 18 while growing up. It only lasted another year before the two split. This is the reason why he supports same-sex marriage because he know what it's like to semi-get there. He hopes to reach
for the full participation in the future.
